June 15th, 1938

Dear Mrs. Standish:

Many thanks for your note of June 13th from which I understand that Mrs. Dillman is not interested in the commodes, and we, therefore, will not excersise her bid.

From your lines I furthermore understand that the rest of the order, namely her bids for the two Lavreince gouaches and the Marin group stand as we had planned together.

Inasmuch as I have not left as yet, I had no opportunity to give you my foreign address. As a matter of fact, I will have to postpone my sailing date again as I am expecting a very important client of mine to come to New York next week, so you can reach me here in the meantime. Of course, I will let you and Mrs. Dillman know as soon as I leave.

Perhaps we can still see each other when you come to New York for your son’s inauguration into West Point.

Let me also thank you for your good wishes. You can rest assured that I am keeping my fingers crossed.

In the meantime, I hope my lines find you well. Good luck to you and kindest personal regards.

Always sincerely,

(R. H. Waegen)
