How is Colburn and your children? How is your boy in West Point getting along? If you are not too overburdened with work, it would be nice if you would drop me a few lines and tell me how you all are.

New York has been rather dreary and dull this past month, and it is only beginning to pick up. I think most people here were terribly depressed over the European situation.
