Dear Donlon,

  I have just returned from Europe and it occurs to me that I have scarcely set eyes on you since I was in Detroit with that exhibition at the "Sign of the Mermaid".  As I understand you are now domiciled near New York, I should like you to come in one day to see me.

  By the bye, I am going away on Friday and Saturday, but any other day, you could find me here at my office.
