CLIFFORD DUITS Art Consultant 27th April, 1957. HOME ADDRESS: 9, WILTON PLACE, LONDON, S.W.I. SLOANE 4494 CABLES: DUITARTS LONDON. REPLY TO OFFICE: 6, DUKE STREET, ST. JAMES'S, LONDON, S.W.I. TRAFALGAR 4030. Mr. Germain Seligman, Jacques Seligmann and Co. Inc., 5, East 57th Street, New York, 22. Dear Mr. Seligman, Further to my letter of the 16th, I have now received another visit from my client and although I was unable to make him commit himself as to what price he would eventually be prepared to pay, he did acknowledge that the sum would have to bear some relation to the enhanced values of to-day and to the original cost price of [symbol for English pound] 2,000 which these pictures made at the Gray Sale at Christies in 1928 - taking into consideration the appreciation in values over the last thirty years. I concluded that he is quite prepared to pay a good price and I think it would be well worth your while to make every effort to find these pictures if it is at all possible. With kind regards, Yours sincerely, [Signature]
