N. Guaro Nejiro?? The Smithsonian must have a diary of this expedition which might indicate where they were on Sept. 26 :) 2.I looked in the completed project for Dr. Edgar A. Mearns collection book from this expedition. "Western upper slopes of Mount Kenya, above 'giant heath' zone, along trail from West Kenya Forest Station to summit, British East Africa, at about 4200 meters elevation. No. Dr. Edgar A. Mearns, Collector, September 25-27, 1909." However, Heller's label seems to read " [[ N. Gran Nyiro, Naivasha's Bowa Sept. 26 Large tree with rough black bark Photographed with Bowa Tower ?beside?]] The Ewaso Ng'iro North River drains from Mt. Kenya and runs near Lake Naivasha and the town of Naivasha.
