I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your communication of the 29th inst requesting information as to the date of my entry into Service as an Officer.

In reply I would state that I originally entered the Service as an Officer on April 23/64 and from that time until my final Muster out Jan 1st 1868, I was continuously in the Service
