3431 - 34th St. N.W.,
Washington, D.C.,
Jan. 24, 1936.

My dear Gorrell,

I wish to extend my congratulations to you on your new position which has been giving you such prominent mention.

We always like to see you stepping on up.

There are a large number of 1912 - about twenty - here in Washington now and we have frequent get-togethers. These are always most pleasant and refreshing.

You no doubt will be in Washington sometime fairly soon - will you let us know?

Yours most sincerely,
P.L. Thomas.

I give you my house address rather than my office as my status is a little peculiar right now. I have been on duty in the Historical Section, am scheduled to go to temporary duty in the office of the Inspector General - while orders are out for me to go to the General Staff (here in Washington) in September.
P.L.T.
