He has represented the United States at more than 200 international aviation conferences and has been decorated by many governments in recognition of his valuable services in the promotion of aviation. "With attention focused as it is today on development of air defense and air transportation," declared Mr. Hamilton, "I consider the Y. M. B. C. extremely fortunate in securing the exclusive appearance of Colonel Gorrell. Long interested in aeronautics, the club has constantly fought to foster it." A native of Baltimore, today's distinguished guest received his education at Baltimore City college, West Point, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Norwich University. He holds memberships in the Society of Automotive Engineers, National Aeronautics Association, and the board of trustees of Norwich University. Additionally, he is a member of the exclusive Racquet and Tennis Club of New York, and the University and Country Clubs of Indianapolis, Ind. No member shall be permitted to vote upon any matter at any meeting unless he shall be in good standing.'
