Bill MacCracken
Honored by NAC

National Aviation Club President A. G. "Sandy" Hardy presided at a reception given last week by the NAC in honor of the Past Presidents and current officers of the Aero Club of Washington, an NAA Chapter.
Twelve Past Presidents of the ACW were on hand for the festivities as well as Jerome Fanciulli who, as an Associated Press reporter in 1909, was involved in the organization of the Aero Club.
A special Honorary Life Membership in the National Aviation Club was presented to NAA General Counsel William P. MacCracken, Jr., in the names of all the early aviation pioneers who helped shape our National policy towards Aeronautics.
Mr. MacCracken was cited for his role as the first Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Aeronautics as well as his leadership in the field of aeronautical law.
Lou Davis was the Chairman of the very successful event.

The latest thing in the Australian Navy is this specially designed "Runway Control Van" whose bubble top and swivel seats give air traffic control officers clear views in all directions from wherever they work.
