Dear Jerry:
Thanks for the Soaring magazine. I stopped my subscription after politics and blatant self-aggrandizement material materialistic was filling it. When we started it had a handicap by those who felt they had lost out on post War One civilian aviation.

The article on the S.S.A. Director's Meeting, had at extreme left Vic Powell, former, (until May 1979), the Managing Editor of National Aeronautics. He has been the thermal to keep me at getting our WACO memorabilia in the NASM. Since, thought [[though]] we are strangers he notes how similar we are put together in our approach and endurance in tackling the hard jobs etc. I have beenthonored..what talent, sensitivity..top editor etc. His fine tiny hand writing is exactly like George and he writes me what I need to hear..(when I had a small accident in May...and his ability to say and convey strength is like "Sam" E.J. Junkin.) I am sure there is something still for me to d[[strikethrough]]a[[/strikethrough]]o just a pity to at a sacrifice lose #4 gas heated and for cooking. $150.overhead 1977. No mtge.
