but the same small spirit that hampered Commercial Aviation.. [[underlined]] i.e. [/underlined]]:
LETS DISPACE THE REAL Ones and ALL OF US BIG BUSINESS MEN CAN MAKE LOTSA MONEY." Martin Schema was the most consistently abused one. I expect it is little compensation to him to know that were not so skilled they would not have treated him so badly. Jealousy. If the decisions as they are, go on record he is the technical loser. It seems that after he took care to learn all the rules and practice them, and once thru no fault of his own missed pr[o]per rating. There was a concerted effort to "do him in." Just because he was a naturalized German U.S. Citizen. I am ashamed for us Americans if we don't square things.
This year there is some Hirth bootlicking so the little guy will settle to his own level.
Gliding is of great and infinite value to Aviation. Those in the "know" have learned that too many airplane designers copy proven ones BUT make changes by paging thru manuals add a wing more panels, tail design from page so-so then call it an airplane. A little change in the rudder and tail surfaces from page so and-so, produce in many get Govt. contract...don't starve..worry because: Another airplane TOO HEAVY, A COPYTO MAKE MONEY. WITNESS MANY OF THESE WHO WENT INTO BUSINESS COPYING our WACO'S failed when the original was proven and available. Reminds me of the farmer who bought a horse, taught it to live on sawdust, had it just about trained, WHEN IT DIED. Now a gliders depend designers with knowledge in its INFANCY. The airplane industry has become a case of motor and more motors, streamlining. Result: Same kind of INDIGESTION for BIG BUSINESS that killed the horse. "Where Oh where has my little glider gone" will be the theme song my children, if you don't watch out. A glider is WINGS, predominantly and R.E. Franklin has well demonstrated the importance of a rudder. I can fly my Franklin right to the spot and I mean [[underlined]] FLY in, Not brake in. [/underlined
