Dear Mrs. Junkin:

Thank you for your letter of February 6th. I do not feel that your article - " so You're a Widow" is exactly suited to Vogue's pages, hence I am returning it to you.

I have today put through a check for $100. for the first piece you submitted - "Old Ladies of 40." I cannot tell you definitely when we will schedule the piece - but we hope it will begin the near future.

Thank you again for your interest.

Cordially yours,
Jessica Daves

P.S. Will you drop me a note, giving the Condé Nast Publications, Inc. full right to reprint the piece in Great Britain? Just for the records.
