[[underline]]Came the Graf Zeppelin.[[/underline]] There was talk of regular travel by air across the world. Would it be the Zeppelins or winged aircraft. I forget who it was..as the Editors midwest who wrote up "Buck's" many pioneering accomplishments proving flying NOT just WAR or STUNT shows. Midwest had flat country where a plane could land..pre-airports to come. Us parachute Anyhow.. the talk also had been at the Toledo Ohio airport where we (the children of 3 and 10 yrs.) drove to see and/or visit with [[underline]]aviator[[/underline]] friends who often took us up..knowing how it felt to be grounded..the talk was about why not [[underline]]cabin planes[[/underline]] and a [[underline]]hostess[[/underline]]. This gal, could be me! With the proper Advertising, and my background a denominator of faith in flying! [[underline]]1929.[[/underline]] I was posed and posed, velvet cloche, flepper crossed knees. My nicknames were "Skates".. my fancy shoe skates thru teens etc; Lags" because I could dance, and dance. Tony Fohker sent me a note post his wife's death about my getting him to dance at the Air Show. "To the Dashing dancing WACO Widow." "Sam" called me "Cindy" for Cinderella as the pumpkin was now a Packard offered which I refused living in th rented half house.
