QUOTE: One of ABC's Specials for next season MARY WHITE, the story of famed newspaper editor William Allen White. The teen age girl lost her life in a horseback-riding accident in 1921. The film [[strikethrough]] will be shot in Emporia, Kan., [[margin]] Nobel prize winner where White was editor of the Emporia Gazette.. White's belief in its commercial use and enable people in the big Wheat Belt to put flying to advantage. By whom Geo. E. "Buck" Weaver. I think, (trunk glossies etc will tell) White had become Gov. of Kansas. The fly in Flying via Buck was the people felt their Gov. should not risk flying! How about that? So over George's protests the flying was simulated and they finally clipped out the part that showed the grass blowing from the OXS! Geo. had two expressions the movie Moguls said. Rollicky grin, like his walk, or solemn, His eyes I learned were the expressions; too jolly, someone he cared for as a friend had proven less - which always hurt him more than any physical pain which he stood so well M.D.S. remarked it. I do not open the trunk of "JEWELS" but I recall the glossie from the film. Geo. Died July 3, 1934. Film released 1934. I avoided movies for 2 yrs. for fear I would see it again and lose my voice.
