The steel fuselage is wireless being entirely tube brace. Advantage has been taken of every lesson learned through the production of several hundred steel fuselages.

Four narrow chord Ailerons provide perfect lateral control with little effort required. They are independently operated, without the use of wires or pulleys, either set alone being large enough to provide fair control. Differential operation also contributes to the ease of the very sufficient control.

Elevators of steel are controlled without wires or exposed horns. The balance of the ship may be trimmed for any load in flight. Plane and motor are comfortably positioned. 

The wings consist of a wide center section, two upper and two lower wing panels. Spars and drift bracing are much stronger than in the Model Nine WACO, which on January 20,th 1927 was static tested by the Engineering Division of the United States Army Air Service, at McCook Field, Dayton, Ohio, under the Personal direction of Mr. W.E Savage. Under the lead and sand load test every part of the machine sustained loads required by the United States department of Commerce. Tail surfaces were loaded far above requirements, and stood without even a trace of permanent distortion. In the High Incidence Condition, which indicates a plane's ability to withstand abusive stunting, the WACO Nine sustained a Factor of Safety of 9, This is not a calculated attempt, but a practical, reliable demand of every part. The plane tested, was purchased by the United States Air Service, from one of our Distributors out of regular stock and after exhaustive flight testing since August, 1926, was sand tested to destruction, revealing the above mentioned Safety Factor, sufficient for military types. The new Model Ten with its great structural integrity will comply with the Department of Commerce requirements for any logical loading and any motor up to 240 H.P. Stock models include the following power plants-- OX-5, Ryan-Siemens and Wright Whirlwind, at prices consistent with WACO VALUE.

THE Cowling is beautiful in both line, finish and detail; not hand-made, but pressed in a hydraulic press; easily detachable in units.

The Cockpits are exceptionally large and as easily entered as any roadster. the seats are so shaped, inclined and cushioned as to assure comfortable relaxation to both passengers and pilot, even on the longest trips 

The Wind-Shields are efficient, and afford real protection. 

The Landing Gear is distinctively in ADVANCE of the now prevailing style. It is, of course, split type-- and really split-- all members being hinged directly on the fuselage without the use of a super-structure. The shock absorbing mechanism is rubberless and employs only tow moving parts not structural members. After the shock is taken up, there remains no energy in the system to rebound the ship back into the air. The result is smoother, shorter landings, without the use of brakes, which, however, can be easily fitted

The WACO Ten's beauty, finish and workmanship, suggest a $10,000 price-- that would be the price of such a plane produced by the hand-made methods used by the average manufacturer today. WACO Production is actually so much in excess of any other, as to permit the use of automobile production methods, resulting in lower production cost, and exactly similar parts, a feature which lowers field maintenance cost as well as factory assembly time.

It's easy to see WACO'S quality and workmanship- it stands right out in comparison, and an experienced airplane mechanic can easily recognize the features that eliminate operating and maintenance cost. the supreme performance can only be fully appreciated by the pilot who flies this new Finer WACO Ten.
