Dear Doris:

Had bought a bushel of [[underlined]]Delicious[[\underlined]] apples this morning and we are planning to ship half of them up for you, -so don't invest heavily in any till these arrive. I think they will keep in a corner of your room. Am back at the Museum, - have you written to Julia yet? I didn't speak of the necklace as we were in company with Harold Rihder and others. Sophy asked of you, and so did Julia and Rihder and all the others. Have a manuscript and proof to correct, - on my desk for 2 weeks before I returned

Love,
Mother.

 Julia just recd your letter.
