Sept. 27, 1946

Dear Folks,

I am writing again briefly because I want to ask you, mother, what English cource you would advise me to take in case I can't stay in English A 7-2. 28 students passed the exam, only 25 enrollment is allowed. So we were assigned a 1000 word comp. on any subject; only the best 25 will stay put. It is due Wed. I have an idea, but incompleted, for a story after H.G. Wells. Here are the cources offered:
History of Eng. Lit. from beginning [[to?]] present (2 term)
Forms of Drama. Aeschylus-Johnson; Racine-Shaw
Eng. Novel before 1800; of 19th cent.
American Lit from beginning to end
Chaucer (2 terms)
Shakespeare (2 terms)
Milton
& variations

Please tell me what you think would be best.

Doris
