aged Freedwoman named "Celia" residing on his Plantation. who is not fitted for any kind of labor &c being ill with a disease which will not allow of her being on his place | Oct 5 1867
Sent to the Freedmans Hospital also recd of W. F. Griffith the sum of ($25.00) for (Celia) freedwoman, the children of the woman, came and took her away and the $25.00 dollars was paid to her. (Celia)

Letter written to Julius Hart to appear the Office on Monday morning Oct 21st 1867 with witnesses. Hart appears at this office and agreed to move nothing from the place, without Mr. Harris consent

Letter sent to Mrs Flora Watkins directing her to pay the Girl for seven months labor.
Letter received from J W McBuds for Mrs Watkins stating that there is no truth in the  complaint of ill treatment to Reuben's daughter by Mrs Watkins. she having been in a helpless condition for over a year &c  thinks that Reuben does not wish the case investigated or he would have reported to the Bu officer of that County (Anson)
