Yes, I will go to Staughton, the [[strikethrough]] I'll [[/strikethrough]] I might come back early enough to invite the Weatherbys to a courtesy tea from 4:00 - 5:00 on Sunday.

College will be open - $1 a night, no meals.

[[strikethrough]] I must [[/strikethrough]] I wouldn't worry about Dex, really: he put himself through college entirely unaided, working 30 hours a week and taking five subjects, also working all summers -- never a cent spent. Ina's mother came & went last week; she is very eager now, and will help a lot, giving Ina clothes & linen she needs. Ina has done 2 rows of her wool quilt on people's left-overs already (6' long, 5" [[strikethrough]] 6" [[/strikethrough]] wide). Her mother has a very unhappy match, is a sensitive woman, very good-hearted; she enjoyed herself up here: the meals as well as classes, but didn't stay long because Ina & Louise had to sleep together, hard on both.

Well, to sleep again.

P.S. St. Patrick's day was very well celebrated here. (All the help is Irish) We had: green cake, pistachio icecream, Irish stew & everyone wore bits and snatches of green. McCaffry boomed in her best accent, and, oh yes, there was green mint jelly for supper.
