thawed out and continued to bloom like the little Alpine blossoms Raup told us of.

I hope Helen is recovering well. She must be missing Marion now.

I have spent some money on what I think is a worthy cause: International Students Service Fund. There is a campaign to raise enough cash to keep 1000 students all over the world off a starvation diet for one term. I can't think of any more specifically good cause; I gave what was asked of each of us $5. I can give up other things: don't have to go to the operas coming espec. since Dorothy never answered my card; don't need any clothes, or movies, or anything. I still have money, you don't need to send any now.

I'm going to a mother-daughter tea this afternoon at Fay house. They say there is to be excellent food, so I haven't eaten but a salad for lunch. Hope it's interesting. Life is rather dull & confusing: so much work to do I don't know where to begin. (I'm so forgetful, I wrote the first page last night.)

In a music quiz yesterday I got the composer but not the form (stupid mistake). It becomes easier
with concentration, tho' I probably won't get a very good grade on this course.

I haven't quite decided, but think of going to Stoughton tho' there is the Eng. hour exam Monday & I can't carry the book out there (I borrow someone else's.), because certainly I will have to stay home next week-end before the huge history exam & music exam.

Love,
Doris
