want to see her but I'd like to do this.

Mrs. Barry said she [[strikethrough]] was [[/strikethrough]] had reservations (only time could get them) beginning the 24th of July. We'll work it out later, but I should like very much to be working in D.C. longer; I don't know how, yet, as I suppose you will come up by car then. The only other reservations she can get are at Labour Day.

Grandma has lost her bank book. They put a notice in the paper, but won't be able to get a new one until June 26. Grandma doesn't know I've told you, so don't let her know I've said anything. She thinks it is in the safe, but no one could open it, even with the directions. Guess she has enough money to last, so don't worry.

Have put all woolens away & washed some clothes.

Cut more of the [[strikethrough]] lawn [[/strikethrough]] fields, all that I'm going to: 3/4 of the pear side & 1/2 of other is done. Conclude that it better be left lying; will rot in pile, can't burn, Cohennas don't want (no cows now).

Did I tell you that I found a pair of shoes someone didn't want at school? Size 8 1/2, in good condition, I have had cleaned, they are red suede (real) ballet shoes, very pretty -- (to put them in the proper ballet attitude). Worth $8 or $9. [[sketch of shoes]] And blouse is found. So nothing lost after all -- but no -- I lost the stone out of my ring again in the rush of packing.

Will try calling Ina this afternoon for address. Don't see how can buy tickets before tomorrow any way. Will get all way ticket if it will save $.

Love, Doris
