Fini.

Bio was much more difficult than any of us had expected. Objective questions were on tiny points I hadn't bothered about. Two [[strikethrough]] hu [[/strikethrough]] very vague essays at the end I couldn't find time or words to write on more than 25 minutes -- and they were supposed to take an hour. We were all very sad to see our A's evaporate. Some compensation, however: I walked into music hoping to get a D- and actually got all the questions right -- in the main -- tho' probably I didn't give enough good reasons for conclusions, and perhaps got as high as B- on that exam!

[[strikethrough]] Tuesday [[/strikethrough]] Monday afternoon after getting saturated with music I happened to look into my purse and discover $40. So I went into town to get a dress. Filene's basement was mobbed. I got stacks of cheap-looking things & tried them on in the packed corridors. Nothing looked well; when I looked about for my clothes, all I could find was my skirt & coat -- I lost that short-sleeved white blouse. (no purse lost) I hunted all over the floor, asked all the sales ladies & at all the desks & left my address at the Lost & Found department. Then I went upstairs & found just the dress immediately: for $9.00, a gorgeous cotton dress: very simple & well made, [[strikethrough]] li [[/strikethrough]] in light pink with gray checks. Now I have 2 summer dresses good enough to wear to work, and
