Dear folks,

We have to wear those gym shorts in tennis.

I haven't seen anything as cheap as you mention. Jean got a very nice pair of dresses at a mark-down for $10-apiece. Perhaps, tho', in Jilene's basement...

I'll have 2 days after exams in which to pack; haven't a minute now.

Va. Ogden & Nancy Lucke and I went walking for an hour last night, hammering out points. Then Jean and I walked for two hours more. Slept fine: I feel so good after a little exercise that I am going to walk half this morning and sleep the other half. It is dripping out, and in the night, especially, the air is hung with Maine and lilac smells. We forgot our keys and resorted to throwing stones in Ina's window; whereupon curly-headed Louise half leaped out at us but came quickly to the rescue.

Gosh, Dad, good luck with your ticks (not for them). By now you should be safe.

Think I'll go down and listen to music. I have learned to like "the moderns" very much: it all rests on familiarization with their idiom.

Love,
Doris
