Dear folks,

I wish letters would be answers to letters rather than criss-crosses, but that can't be helped. Is my schedule straight now? I find that History and English are afternoon exams: a bad period for me, as I usually sleep an hour or so in the afternoon. I'll try in the morning, instead. Also, it encourages last minute cramming. Probably I should be worried, but I'm not in the least. Didn't get such good grades on my two long papers: C+ in History, B+ in English. I know the faults, so it [[strikethrough]] is [[/strikethrough]]was helpful to [[strikethrough]] learn [[/strikethrough]] make them, now. I didn't provide any smooth background for William knowing so well the facts that I never bothered to explain all I drew conclusions from, making choppy, difficult reading for an uninitiated; and Eng. was too impressionistic, tho' based in fact. Experience. Consolation in Bio. notebook: A-. Ina got A+!

I gave the wrong idea of David, I'm afraid his suit was navy blue; he's actually about my age, no chance of having served.

I[[strikethrough]] 'm glad [[/strikethrough]] hope you will have a not-too-tiring trip to Gettysburg - 1 day only?

It was decreed that jeans & shorts were wearable on the dorm grounds all day... to [[strikethrough]] slate [[/strikethrough]] confirm an accomplished fact. Red noses and calamine lotion make daily appearances; no, calamine lotion only once... on Nancy Burns' face; she is being excused from 2 exams because she can't write study for them, poison having almost sealed her eyes.

Must really set to work, lazy as this lovely day is. (Louise & I climbed a tree yesterday). Wish you a good week-end.

Love,
Doris
