Dear Doris:

We were relieved to hear from you again but sorry you have the cold. I hope you are shaking it by now. Take care of yourself and get plenty of sleep. You will gain by it, even if you don't study so much, as your brain will be all the clearer.

I tried to call up Dolores last evening, but she was away. Her mother said she was studying like mad, - all day Sunday she spent in her room not going out at all. Her mother said, "It is pretty hard on all of us." Dolores, she said, had almost wanted to give up and not go next year, but her brother says to finish it. She is hoping to get that week's vacation down in N.C. after school is over. The church will pay her expenses. Then she may get a little raise in salary there at G.W. as now she is doing all stenography.   Dolores' mother is happy over their big garden, she told how hard the boy was working in it and how well everything looked in spite of the cold.

We spent last evening at the Allards', - they called us over to give us some "poke". I have a big bagful to get rid of.

If you get out to Stoughton this weekend, run over & see how the orchard is coming along. I wish you could find someone to bring your things out. You might be able to leave the typewriter, lamp & radio at Weatherby's.   I think you had better plan to reserve a day or two in Stoughton for packing away your woollen things for safe keeping and doing such chores as mowing the lawn, moving Grandma's plants outdoors, etc. before coming down here.   I am glad your
