Dear Folks,

I'm hot in the middle of William -- or, Willem, as [[luc?]] insists -- and shan't be able to go out to Staughton this weekend. Have a baby job tonight (35¢/hr), taking care of 3 children while Judy goes out; she wants me to ask Dick to the Spring formal, having 2 other men on the string but [[strikethrough]] wanting to [[/strikethrough]] feeling necessity of keeping him occupied & not hurt. Shall finish -- if possible-- Pickwick Papers (800 pages!), which I am now appreciating in full force. Eng. paper changed again: now, "Potter & Whell in Carlyle, Tennyson,Browning, & Omar." your description of circus sounded wonderful.
