a Professor hadn't happened by. Then I ran a piece, then we tried again, successfully--the bike is very swift--and also very willful--for when we met the red light, it didn't want to stop, and when we stopped it, it threw us upon the road again, legs straight up in the air!

Plummer's Island, it sounds wonderful.

You sound about as enthusiastic about the Biennial as Dolores. Have you seen their new car yet? I suppose a trip to see the Grand Southern ruins would torture Dad, but he might take the Floras along.

I've got a book out with all (or most) of Blake's accompaniments to "Songs of Innocence & Experience" -- will work at the angle of his political images, how they are influenced by & based on art. Another good book I'll get: "Politics of Vision" - new & highly thought of by critics (by Shorer). Got small book by Edgeworth on Wilhelm (as Ine insists; she points out that the Wilhelmuslied's first & last lines aren't very appropriate for modern use: he declares his German birth & loyalty to Spain, tho' not Alva) which Miss O'Boyle recommended. So simply barrels of work. We have got to Grieg. Jean is out every night of the week singing for next Thursday concert - Brahm's "Requiem."

Must work,
Love,
Doris

I will write Dolores as soon as possible. I'm 60 p. behind in English, 2 chapters & a lab in Bio.
