New York, where he passed away on May, 1938.  He was survived by his wife, a five year old daughter and two sisters.  He was buried in the family lot at Great Bend, Pennsylvania.

Early Flying Pioneer, World War I aviator, C. Ray Benedict deserved great credit for the valued contribution he made to early American aviation history.  As one of the early airmen, his faith and enthusiastic devotion to a new science assisted in the start of the aviation industry the world enjoys today.
