made for him by Goodyear.

This overhaul job was completed in mid-December and on the 26th Dekor flew over Los Angeles and landed on Washington Avenue in the downtown area to fill an engagement he had with one of the Los Angeles newspapers. From there he flew to Dominguez Field, where he remained to take part in the Los Angeles Meet held there starting January 26 [[crossed out]] th [[/crossed out]], 1913. Flying also at this event were Early Daugherty, Fred Schumann, Floyd Smith, John G. Gilpatric and Len Bonney. On the opening day DeKor [[crossed out]] had a [[/crossed out]] narrowly escaped [[crossed out]] from [[/crossed out]] a bad crash when he was gliding in for a landing following an altitude flight. At a low altitude he was suddenly struck by very turbulent air from behind the grandstand and almost capsized. He instantly opened up the [crossed out]] motor and [[/crossed out]] engine, made a steep diving right bank and flew out of [[crossed out]] [[??]] [[/crossed out]] trouble.

On January 31st, the last day of the event, he had another hair-raising experience caused by a mid-air collision with Earl Daugherty's plane. In the free-for-all race five planes started from a line in the field, 25 feet apart. Shortly after take off the planes edged in on one another until DeKor and Daugherty were caught in the middle of the group and tangled wing tips, with Schumann directly under them. The two planes crowding them veered off, then DeKor swung to the right, Daugherty to the left and they got apart. DeKor, [[crossed out]] saw [[/crossed out]] seeing that he had a broken strut and wing damage, [[crossed out]] [[??]] [[/crossed out]] landed immediately, but Daugherty continued the race. In spite of these close calls DeKor made an excellent showing at the Meet. He [[crossed out]] actually [[/crossed out]] entered all the events, [[crossed out]] and [[/crossed out]] where his tight turns and acrobatic maneuvers were the delight of the crowds.

During the spring of 1913 Dekor [[crossed out]] [[?? evidently]] [[/crossed out]] returned to the southern exhibition circuit. [[crossed out]] for [[/crossed out]] On November 14th and 15th he flew at Batesville, Arkansas, after having [[crossed out]] just [[/crossed out]] repaired his plane following an accident at Monticello, Arkansas, a short time before.

On February 11 [[crossed out]] th [[/crossed out]] , 1914 he was flying at the National Corn Show [[crossed out]] at [[/crossed out]] in Dallas, Texas. Flying [[crossed out]] there also [[crossed out]] at this event were J.H. Worden, Katherine Stinson and F.J. Terill. During the spring and early summer months of 1914 everyone contracting for flying exhibitions clamored for looping. Lincoln Beachy was doing it at all the major
