Flying Pioneer, Ralph C. Diggins was well-known throughout the early aviation industry and was a close friend of General Williams "Billy" Mitchell. Self-taught pilot on the first plane he himself built, he went on to become an expert aviator, instructor, and successful business manager. He accomplished much for the growing aviation industry by promoting flying and the use of aircraft, as well as by teaching hundreds of students to fly.
