Shortly after his death and Health Company was dissolved and the airfield abandoned. Later some of his former associates took over the business and it was moved to Niles, Michigan, where it continued to operate for some time.
Flying Pioneer, Early Bird Edward B. Heath was generally recognized everywhere as the "Dean" of American lightplane designers and pilots of his era. Well known, he had operated his small but growing business continuously for over twenty years. A small, energetic, hard working man, he fought adversity through the many early years of his enterprise to meet with a sudden tragic ending when all was going well. His passing was a distinct lose to the cause of early lightplane development which he had pioneered so capably. His name will always be remembered for his efforts to provide an airplane within the reach of anyone who wanted to fly.
