Willard. At about this time Mars left Curtiss and joined Captain Baldwin to fly Baldwin Red Devil planes. 

On December 24th Baldwin left the United States with Mars and Todd Schriver for an Asiatic Exhibition Tour and after some flying in Honolulu they arrived in Yokohama, Japan, on January 21[[crossed out]]st[[/crossed out]], 1911. By April 15th they had flown at points in Japan, China,and the Philippines, making the first [[crossed out]]aeroplane[[/crossed out]] Airplane flights ever seen in those countries. At many points they flew before royalty, and in Japan Mars gave Crown Prince Hirohito a ride and was given "The Order of the Rising Sun." Baldwin and Schriver returned to the United Stated by way of the Pacific, but Mars continued flying exhibitions in other Far Eastern countries, giving the King of Siam a 12-minute ride. He arrived in New York from London on June 5th after his round-the-world tour and started flying at one at Mineola, Long Island. While on his would tour Mars reportedly made over one hundred exhibition flights.

On June 24th Mars flew from Mineola to Brighton Beach for [[crossed out]]the[[/crossed out]] a bankers convention, put on a show, and returned to Mineola. July 4th and 5th he flew at Klamath, Oregon, and then on July 14th while flying an exhibition at Erie, Pennsylvania, he had a bad fall and smashup, putting him in the hospital. Beckwith Havens of the Curtiss staff arrived to complete the engagement. By mid-August Mars was flying again and entered as a contestant at the Grant Park, Chicago Meet August 12th-20th, where he did some flying, but was still hampered by the injuries sustained at Erie.

September 19th to 22nd he flew at Aledo, Illinois; then September 24th to 30th was at the Nassau Boulevard International Meet on Long Island, New York, along with a large group of world-renowned aviators. On October 24th Mars and James Ward flew at Kalamazoo, Michigan, where they raced against each other, and automobiles, at the race track.

That fall Mars when to California and at San Francisco, in December was trying to organize a benefit meet for Mrs. Ely, to be held in January. Her late husband, Eugene Ely had died recently [[crossed out]]crashed fatally[[/crossed out]] in a crash. [[crossed out]]There[[/crossed out]] On December 25th Mars flew for the Merchants Association at Stockton, California. As a result of his efforts Mrs. Ely was given one-half of the gate receipts of the Oakland Meet in February, 1912.

About March 1st Mars was back on Long Island flying for Baldwin at Hempstead,
