G. Tarbell. Following John's death Alfred went on with the business. Some Bleriot-copy planes were built at Winfield, Long Island, and the Moisant Flying School at Hempstead taught a number of notable U. S. and Mexican aviators.
Moisant's remains are today enshrined in the Portal of Folded Wings, Valhalla Memorial Park, North Hollywood, California. The Moisant International Airport was dedicated in his honor at New Orleans, Louisiana, January 12-13, 1946.
Flying Pioneer John B. Moisant was considered to be one of the most daring and colorful monoplane pilots of his day. Energetic and aggressive, one can only imagine where his wealth and drive would have taken him had he lived. What a pity he did not direct his ventures instead of personally setting the course of accomplishments himself. Aviation lost a foremost champion of the cause at his passing.
