cabin, large span biplane, carrying pilot and six passengers, and was designed for rugged commercial use. It proved to be very successful machine and some were built and sold. Following this Timm designed and brought out the C-1 high wing, short span cantilever racing monoplane for competitive flying, using a Curtiss 0X-5 engine. Timm flight tested this plane which proved to be a world's speed record holder at that time for planes of that power class. On this plane he used a new type of rudder bar on which he obtained a U.S. Patent. He also brought out a complete line of new improved metal fittings for replacement use on various planes in regular use at the time. While there Timm also set up his own static load testing program for structural safety, checking new design plane components, which was unusual for that era. In September the company announced their new "Pacific Standard" planes, with Hall-Scott, Liberty 6 or 0XX-5 engines. While there Timm also brought out a very small, but highly successful plane designated the "Bumble Bee."
 
In 1922 Timm left the Pacific group to join the Lincoln Standard Aircraft Company at Lincoln, Nebraska as engineer and test pilot. On April 9th of that year he gave the world renowned Charles Lindberg his first plane ride. Lindberg had just enrolled as a student in their flying school, where he was taught to fly by company instructor I. O. Biffle. The company was manufacturing Lincoln Standard planes with Hisso engines. Timm remained there until 1925, and in July, 1923 he brought out the Lincoln Standard Model LS-5 Commercial Biplane with 180 Hisso engine. This plane carried four passengers and pilot, and was designed to meet the demand for a rugged, dependable machine for the growing small airport pleasure flying business. 

From 1925 to 1927 Timm conducted a consulting business of his own and did engineering work for several plane builders, including the steel constructed 1911 Curtiss Pusher replica for Al Wilson, which he flew at Fairs and Air Races for some time. In 1927 he organized the Timm Aircraft Cor-
