Flying Pioneer James J. Ward must be recorded in early American aviation history as one of those very first adventuresome young airmen who had the courage and will to take a chance on flying in its infancy and helped sell it to a doubting public. An active pilot, he obviously flew for the love of it and his natural ability to entertain the public. What a pity that he had to spend his last days in destitution after the great service he rendered aviation during his early life.
