Oil, A Reading, by Thomas W. Dewing, N.A. (1851-1938); purchased in 1925 for $6,000, through the Ranger Fund, and assigned to the Cincinnati Museum Association, Eden Park, Cincinnati, Ohio, January 26, 1926.

Oil, Margery and Little Edmund, by Edmund C. Tarbell, N.A. (1826-1938); purchased in 1929 for $5,000, through the Ranger Fund, and assigned to the Grand Rapids Public Library, Grand Rapids, Michigan, May 23, 1930.

On motion the recommendation was approved.

The Commission also voted to recommend to the Board of Regents the re-election for the usual four-year period of the following members whose terms expired in 1948:

Archibald G. Wenley
David E. Finley
Eugene E. Speicher
Paul Manship

In accordance with the above recommendation by the Commission, the following resolution was passed:
RESOLVED: That the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution hereby approves the recommendation of the Smithsonian Art Commission that Messrs. Archibald G. Wenley, David E. Finley, Euegene E. Speicher and Paul Manship be re-elected members of the Commission to succeed themselves.

The Secretary announced that officers of the Commission for the ensuing year had been elected as follows:
