Aircraft Industries Association of America, Inc. and $12,500 from the Air Transport Association of America.

The Institution has received a gift of $600 to be carried as a fund entitled "Historic Dresses."

A gift of $1,000 was received from Time Incorporated to be used for paleontological work. This gift was made in recognition of assistance given in preparation of a "Time Magazine" feature story on evolution.

A gift of $1,200 was received from Miss Agnes Chase, long an able member of the Smithsonian staff, to establish a "Grass Names Index Fund."

The Institution received a gift from Johns Hopkins University for publication of research in the amount of $500.

A grant of $6,250 from a promised total of $12,500 was made by the National Geographic Society to cover the publication of a volume on "The Material Culture of Pueblo Bonito."

A gift of $4,000 was received from Gene M. Stirling for work on the "Archeology and Ethnology of Florida."

A further contribution of $2,500 was received from Mrs. Rose Banon in memory of her aunt, Gertrude Abbott, and a like contribution from Mr. de Calry in memory of his aunt, Gertrude Abbott, has been received.

A bequest of $96,044.73 from the Estate of Morris Loeb establishing the Morris Loeb Fund has been received. The income of this fund is to be used for the furtherance of knowledge in the Exact Sciences.

The Secretary reported on estimated income and expenditures for the fiscal year 1953-1954.

VOTED that the Secretary is to be congratulated on the very able manner in which he has handled the Institution's affairs during the past year.
