Colonel
I have the honor to state that the cases of illegal apprenticeship which have come to my notice in Anne Arundel County have all been disposed of (save one) by the release of the children. The remaining case is still pending before Judge Bond. I enclose herewith bills of Mr. H P Jordan for services in procuring the release of some of the children. These bills cover all the fees and costs of court. I had hoped that Judge Bond would have compelled the defendants to pay the costs, but in every case they have been remitted. The cases in Calvert County I have placed in the hands of Mr. Saffold Solicitor &c to prosecute.

I am Sir
Very Respectfully
