RJD design config for -3 (OV99) [KAUPP, SWINGLE] max failure mode - 1 jet on (after STS-1 mod) (until crew shutdown) 3 jets on for ~160 msec current thinking: modify RJD by implementing 1[circled] a single string voter + 2[circled] an aft station PRCS power down switch. That leaves you open to 1[circled] single or multiple VRCS or PRES (up to 3- 1 each axis) for 80 or 160 msec (only) 2[circled] single jet on, until crew shut down. Additional possiblilty: add a series element (semi-major redesign + RJD...but it eliminates single jet fail - on). Davis will request runs (realistic) from SPAR. (after supplying them w/ DAP profiles) NRCC- call from Karl (re consistency check) old check problem: it reset because of oscillations @ ~2Hz. PL remains stationary, [u]arm[/u] oscillates. SIMFAC funny? 1[circled] EM results are all unloaded, difficult to extrapolate (may only be a problem w/ loaded arm) 2[circled] ASAD runs (17 modes) showed some damping, but its probably still there. 3[circled] problems with gearbox model in SIMFSC?
