Dear folks,

It is a good sign Dol passed chemistry rather than Zoo - that is fundamentally easier for her perhaps. I bet she is enjoying her rest. I can see how panicky Mrs Stone might be getting: the second trial of his jobs. Wasn't there ever any chance that that secret service job could be had?

No, no news from Generals; except from a gal who is brighter in Hist-Lit than life, Carol Fraser: she said she had heard one person flunked, & was in a panic: & she's pretty good. (But I'm in a panic too!) Nor have I heard about my room location, which I am supposed to discuss this morn.

Exam yesterday so-so. The only difference between that and any other exam, [[strikethrough]] as [[/strikethrough]] was that you knew how badly you were going to do before you took it --  But not so bad. Afterwards this jag of furious & good activity that has been going strong since Sat continually I took Hist reading notes all afternoon, finishing the course (exam Sat): then re-wrote or re-typed the second section of my Wanning paper all evening, a job.  Then [[strikethrough]] as [[/strikethrough]] when at about ten I was feeling the lack of human contact, Herb called & we went to drink beers & talk gaily about all the people we knew, their mannerisms etc. until 12, bed-time.
