February 19

1988 - Friday 26° at 6 am.  Heard on business news T Boone Pickens wants to buy 15% of Texaco. More trouble. stock went over 40 during day. cloudy day. To Mass. To Youngs for birdfood. Shop & Shop for bananas. Wes picked up glasses at Dr. Doty's. likes them. to bank. Mailed tax data to Krawchick. returned boots to LL Bean for size 10. lunch. nap. no walk as both of us have queasy stomachs. better at night. Wes in shop. I knitted red vest.

1989 - Sunday - 22° at 6 AM. cloudy - no snow as predicted - Sun 6:44 - 5:35 - only fleeting sights of it - snow flurries in mid-morning. To 8 o'clock mass - to Marcus for milk following. Relaxing day, read papers - Wes finished mystery "At Death's Door" Eileen loaned us. I made Oat-Bran muffins. good. Rosses gave us delicious chocolates from Pennsylvania - I took Bleckwehl's key back to them - suggested we keep it. Martini at noon - good nap - Threw out some forced bulbs - frozen.

1990 - Monday - Presidents Day Holiday - 33° at 6 AM cloudy morning - cleared before noon and sunny in afternoon - over 40° in afternoon. To Mass. Polished silver - cut out lining for jacket - Wes in shop. Walked at noon - into Hemlock Hills open space as Discovery Center was having a cook out - we said hello only - picked up beer cans etc enroute home. Lunch - nap - more hobbying

1991 - Tuesday - 36° at 6 AM. Sun 6:45 - 5:35 Very foggy. To Mass Rain at 11:30 - so no walk. [[strike through]]To Mass. [[/strike through]] To Ridgefield Photo Shop - arranged for prints of garden for Sasqua Show (Nancy Callahan's slides) and copy of  Boo and Snow at Eileen's window - to Stop & Shop. Lunch - nap - Wes in shop. I staked Trevithian Narcissus - ironed

1992 - Wednesday - 42° at 7:30. Good to sleep late. Misty and foggy. Sun (maybe this afternoon) 6:45 - 5:35.
To S & S - to William Sonoma and Passport foods - for candied ginger - sherry vinegar & vegetarian pate for Gizella's birthday - visited her - took mileage from Longstroth to Exit 1, Tr. 84, (2.8 miles) for Wes to make map - send to Carl Larson who is buying Live Steam magazines - we banded all of them by years (1966/1991) and piled them on living room floor.

February 20

1988 - Saturday - 38° at 7 AM - Sunny morning quite a few clouds in afternoon. To PO to return CD to Club - Bollard Park Notepaper to Mrs Cerf - bank - Marcies - to Aqua Pool/Wallin to inquire about repair of Solar window - replace shade - will send repairman but go elsewhere for shades - home to take a 2 mile plus walk - lunch - nap - I did crossword - Wes finished it in evening - he worked in shop - learned sitting there made his back ache.

1989. Monday - 28° at 6 AM. Cloudy - Presidents Day Holiday. Sun 6:43 - 5:36. Not sunny today but not bad. To Mass. Threw out old tax records. Threw out christmas greens from livingroom. Washed ironed. Wes put a grommet in open-end birdfeeder to keep out rainwater. The squirrel occasionally gets into the dome feeder. but the open - end on one seems to have him stumped. Wes in shop. I put heat on upstairs and sewed. Took a two mile walk - saw three deer on road at Dr Henley's - first time we've seen deer on Ned Mt. Road.

1990 - Tuesday - 26° at 6 AM - clear - sunny & cold. Very strong winds all day. To Mass. After shop work, Wes went for a haircut & picked up my black lizard shoes - resoled. We took a mile walk despite the wind. After lunch ( in solar at 80° - outside was 32°)hobbies - I sewed on jacket and transplanted more of Lobelia Illumination - really too small to move but overcrowded.

1991 - Wednesday - 56° at 7 AM. cloudy - misty - Solar fogged up. Sun 6:44 - 5:36. Cleared after 3 PM - sun out at five and a beautiful evening - temperature fell. Few chores - house and plant - Wes in shop. We took a walk early. Gave Gizella the plant & small basket for her birthday. Early lunch. To Recycling - I dropped Wes off at Dr. James and went to greenhouse for their [[mine]] plant sale - bought lavender and lemon geranium - to bank - picked up Wes - home to copy tax figures

1992 - Thursday - 40° at 6 AM. Sun 6:44-5:36. Cloudy. misty but not cold. To Mass. Did crossword. Took vacuum to Electrolux Brookfield for repair of on/off switch - went back to pick it up after lunch - no charge as under guarantee still (better than the $90 - at the Rt 6 shop) Bought bags 10 for 10.00! Wes had couple hours in shop. I washed my hair - read papers. Picked up Helen at 5:15 and went to Sam's Grill Louise Davis' restaurant under Big Shop - Carol & Bill Stoddard joined for dinner - they took Helen Home.
