March 6

1988-Sunday-20˚ at 6AM-Beautiful morning and day. To 8 o'clock Mass. Read paper for a little while then went to Bus Terminal to pick up airport limousine schedule. Early lunch-to Green Fingers Show to pick up entries-Honorable Mention for Grape Hyacinths-the tulip class was great-mine looked good but didn't view
Home at 4:15-to Frankie's for cocktails at 5pm-picking up Alex and Helen-home at 7:40-Dinner-watched Hardy "Day after the Fair"-two hours-very good.

1989-Monday-30˚at 6AM-Light snow-had some overnight-storm watch for today and tonight-very cold and slippery on stone-road sanded. Very light flurries here but NYC had snow all day-Eileen had to shovel twice
To Mass-Hobbies most of day. Wes in shop I cut out pink cotton skirt and sewed some of it-also finished the blue print dress.

1990-Tuesday-29˚at 7AM and snowing-about two inches already-at least 5 1/2 before stopping mid afternoon. Spent day raking and shoveling-and doing crossword. Had planned to go to movies in Newtown but snowed out. Early dinner & went to 7:30 Mission only to find it cancelled when reached Church as priest unable to come account storm

1991-Wednesday-38˚ at 7AM. Fair Sun 623-552-Nice morning. cloudy afternoon and rain at bedtime. Did crossword. I went to meeting of Flower Show Committee at 9:30 at Keeler Garden House-home at 11:15-took a mile walk. Lunch-nap. I transplanted vinca-pansies-Impatiens-loads of pots-we put on upper lights in shop trays-took all afternoon. President Bush spoke to Joint Session of Congress-praise for conduct of Persian Gulf War. Troops to start coming home.

1992-Friday-40˚ at 6AM. Cloudy-Breezy. Sun 6:22-5:53 To Mass. Couldn't finish crossword     
Eileen came up at 10. We went to Jeanne Cook Travel to discuss flights to Denver in June-need more information. On to Lynch, Route 7, where Eileen looked at weathervanes-no small ones on display-On to Williams Sonoma-Eileen bought Ginger & lemon peel-also a hat box at Hold Everything. Home for lunch-nap. Wes and I shopped S&S. Tried to finish crossword. Enjoyed "I'll Fly Away" on TV at 9 pm

March 7 

1988 - Monday - 30˚ at 5:50 - Clear - up early as Parish Renewal (mission) has a mass at 7:30. 
   To bank - Jeanne Cook [[illegible]] Agency for Delta tickets to Atlanta April 13th - to Young's for bird food - few grocerie at [[illegible]]. Lunch - nap - [[illegible]] a couple hours dragging brush from shed area to upper road - cut and stacked it. Man [[crossed out]] g [[/crossed out]] came at 3:30 to measure for shades for Solar and bathroom windows. 

1989 - Tuesday - 18˚ at 6 AM - Cloudy - predicted snow didn't come here last night. Wes went to [[Mar?]], then he drove me to larol Stoddaid's, she picked up honey [[?]] + Edna Johnson in Ridgefield and drove to N.Y. Hower Show of Pier 92 at 55th Street. Enjoyed it. Home at 4pm. We had gone to Marcus for milk and worked in shop. Sun out in afternoon but very cold. 

1990 - Wednesday - 8˚ at 5:45. Fair. Up earlier a Wes takes car to Honda. He left at 7:10 - not back until 12 - had brakes relined among other things. 
I spent most of day preparing [[hareissees?]] and tulips and Myrtle for [[Guinevria?]] show - bulbs not worth it as some flopping - others not [[aul?]] - 
Early supper - to church at 4 for confession and Mission - home at 9:30.

1991 - Thursday - 49° at 6 AM. Cloudy - cleared for morning - off + on clouds afternoon - colder at night.
To Mass - Wes read the Watson book - I cleaned house + washed floor - finished wool [[challis skirt?]].
First day for Thomas Refuse to take recyclables.
First soldiers returning from Persian Gulf at midnight. Iraq says has released all prisoners of war.

1992 - Saturday - 38° at 7 AM. Very foggy - had rained overnight. Sun 6:20 - 5:54.
Relaxing day. [[Jesus?]] had cross word. Took inventory of electric light bulbs - put them in basket in laundry, I sewed a few seams of white blouse - made lasagna and a low - fat carrot cake. Wes in shop for a short time. Rained most of day - foggy - glad we didn't have to go out.
