July 15, 1944

Dear Doris:

Received your letter of July 7th & was very happy to hear from you.

I'm happy to hear my letter [[strikethrough]] I [[/strikethrough]] got to you in time. I was sort of worried weather [[whether]] it would reach you or not. So you are going to Mass rather you already left boy I bet it's nice there at this time of the year.

I wish I was back there now but I dont [[don't]] think it will be long at least I hope not.

So all you do is go swimming and bycycling [[bicycling]] & blue berry picking well
