ToDAY is the Birthday of Doris Sidney Blake- 14
My birthday!!! Fair. First 
after breakfast (had egg, toast, 
bacon, prunes) we went to 
Langley's bluff. I went to the 
creek there + caught 1 tiny sheepshead 
minnow + 1 female guppy(wild) 
Then we went to St. Mary's City (of

Chancellor's Point) There I caught 
along shore 1 large female 
sheepshead minnow + 1 mummychug 
different kind from creek. mummychug 
longer + silver with small 
black stripes. When full grown 
they have yellow + black (I think) 
like I saw at camp last year. 
[[strikethrough]] On w [[/strikethrough]] Then we went to Wailes 
Bluff. I got some gravely stones + * shells +
mother got a lot of larger stones. There 
are lots of sea nettles so we didn't 
go swimming. Dad found 2 
rib bones of some whale!! (Rare) at 
Langley's Bluff. Then we started home. 
On way we stopped twice for 
berries (once, each 1 qt- 2 qts) until

I sold the 11 qts at 20¢ each.- $2.20 + 
what I had ($2.90) $5.10!! [[↑ pointing to left page right margin]]

Fair. I opened my presents + put 
my fish in. The mummychug 
died. I put in 3 female sheepsheads, 
1 female guppy [[↓ from top right margin]](unusually long), 
+ 1 tiny sheepsheads (5) + I had 
5 fish (1 female sheepshead, 2 males, 
2 creek mummychugs) I have 10 fish 
now. Oh yes. [[→ pointing to the word presents]]
I got a silver 1 1/2" or more 
butterfly pin with safety clasp 
from [[strikethrough]] Mrs. Barry [[/strikethrough]] Miss Colcard!! a lovely 
purple + pink flowered hanky 
from Grandma, a transparent 
glass (short [[strikethrough]] tough [[/strikethrough]] touched with green 
necklace from Mrs Barry, a cute 
card from Lena ("Aunt") + cards 
from all above listed. Mother gave 
me white seersucker for another 
nightie (2 part), red + white for a 
summer skirt + 2 large bottles 
of afterbath perfume- lilac

+ lavender(yellow) + 
red turban cloth to wear to 
mass on train.  Dad gave me a
