Fair. Mother + I went to town at about 9:00. I sent for 2 bottles of Jergens [[strikethrough]] 2 [[/strikethrough]] 1 offer of 2 cream (Woodbury) tubes & 6 shades powder & 1 Lady Esther offer of face cream & 9 shades face powder. First we went to [[strikethrough]] We [[/strikethrough]] the school - Western & registered - I will take German, Latin, English, Geometry, & Gym & 1 study hour - every day. Then we went to Kann's (I wanted to get a dress but didn't) & I got a pair (size 8 1/2) of bright red loafers - cute - [[strikethrough]] buckled [[/strikethrough]] 1 [[strikethrough]] buckbd [[/strikethrough]] . buckled [[hand drawn image: overhead view and side view of shoe]] Then we went to the 5¢+10¢ store & I got a wide blue shiny belt (10¢ - Ma pd for) & Mother got a twin dark blue one too (25¢). Then we got milk, ate our sandwiches, had each a Sundae (Ma pinapple [[pineapple]] me, strawberry) + I got 3 candles (pink (all way through) yellow & white) for 10¢ - [[strikethrough]] I ha [[/strikethrough]] (my money) & we went to Hect's [[Hecht's]] where I got a beautiful thick (spun rayon) pink, long-sleeved, dress
[[right margin]] When we got home (3:00) I went to the store & got a powder puff I made a white necklace [[/right margin]]
[[left margin]]Dress cost $5.99. I pd $5.00, mother the rest. I had $7.48,
