So they go get it cause I wanted her to stay and then I would get my husband's mother she was right next door and them two was together way back in the old times and be showing one another how to dance. (N.H.S. How they danced?) And Julius' mother she says and it tickled my husband and he showed them some kind of something they did. She'd say oh! shucks boy I can beat you on that - what?) I can beat you on that She says give me a glass of water in there and set it on top of her head and dance and never drop a drop.

N.H.S. That was Julius' mother?

Mrs. Kelly: Set a glass of water on top of her head (N.H.S. good) and say that's the way I use to fool them (N.H.S. chuckle) when I was young back there and then uh but what would tickle me she say Hanna. She'd say yeah. Do you remember about such and such a thing? She'd say yeah, Hanna I sure do. She'd say, what'd he say?

N.H.S. Who is Hanna?

Mrs. Kelly: That's my husband's mother. They way, they would joking one another (N.H.S. I see) See them the only two old ones was right and I'm gonna get her to stay all night and so I would tell the old Hanna that I was going to keep Miss Harriet down there. She'd say just as soon as I get through supper I'm coming on over there and talk and talk and she would ask her, did you remember such and such a thing back yonder what was done. Say yes sir Hanna I sure do. Well Harriet did you remember such and such a thing? Yes Hanna (I laugh) and that's just the way they'd be doing cause they had been together way back in olden time.
