Sciences, Philadelphia has been studying the collection of scaphopods, one of the largest in the world in connection with his monograph of that group now in progress. He has also utilized the collection of the genus [[underline]]Bulimus[[/underline]] for the same purpose.

Mark of Harvard University has studied the collection of microscopic slides illustrating the anatomy of rare forms of Pelecypoda and, Mr. Berlin H. Wright has utilized the collection of Naiades in connection with his studies of that group.

Mr. T. Waylaud Vaughan has had the use of the entire collection of Eocene corals in connection with his researches into that group now in preparation for the printer.

Prof. G. D. Harris of Cornell University has utilized the collection in connection with his work on the lower Eocene faunas.

A number of minor investigations of particular groups or species have been made by the staff and numerous visitors during the year, of which no special record has been kept.
