6. What explorations (a) by members of the Museum staff, and (b) under other auspices, have resulted in enriching the collections under your care?

Mr. Chas Schuchert of the Museum while exploring for Zeugloden in Southern Mississippi obtained and transmitted interesting material from that region. Mr. Wm Palmer of the Museum also contributed a small number of shells collected while on other duty.

The following persons have been engaged in making collections with a view of working out local faunae and have submitted puzzling or doubtful forms to the Dept. of Mollusks for examination. In most cases they have given types of new or interesting material to the National collection.
