The 30 frames illustrating Japanese methods of silk culture have been placed on exhibition on the floor of the Museum.

Routine work during the month embraced a thorough examination of all boxes for Museum pests, work on the duplicate collection of that portion of the Lepidoptera the cabinet arrangement of which has been completed, and the preservation of material as it came in.

Prof. Atkinson of the University of North Carolina, and Prof. Snow of the University of Kansas, visited the Department and spent some time examining the Collections and studying methods of arrangement and exhibition.

From the Dept of Agriculture the Diurnal Lepidoptera were selected and transferred to the Museum for arrangement and incorporation into the collection or duplicate series, and the material for the arrangement of the arctiidae is all on hand.

The acting curator has been absent on leave, from and including June 21st, to and including June 26th
