Report of Department of Insects

For October, 1890.

The following accessions were received during the month: 

✓ 23608. One specimen of a Lepidopterous larva from Dr. Cheves Bierce, Winfield, Ark. 

✓ 23620. Nineteen specimens of North American Coleoptera from Mr. Henry Ullke, 411 15th St., Washington,D.C.

✓ 23638. Bostrychus cornutus: imago and larva, found boring in a basket imported from Angola, Africa, from Mr. Walter Hough, U.S. National Museum.

23637. One sp. Pepsis marginata and on sp. Scolopendra, from Mr. Elwyn F. Tarr, McCarty's, N. Mexico. 

✓ 23656. Collection of insects of all orders from Mr. W.L.Abbott, Mombasa, East Africa.

✓ 23662. Ocypus ater, Criocephalus asperatus and Lithobius, sp. collected at Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, from Mr. W.A.Stearns, Cambridgeport, Mass.

✓ 23687. Seven specimens of Dictyophorus sp. and one of Photuris, sp. collected in Guatemala, from Lieut. Chas. F. Pond,Brooklyn, Conn.
